Supervision and enforcement in the field of LPG

Supervision of gas companies - Checking that their activities comply with the conditions of a license for a gas supplier.

Supervision of LPG facilities - Gas farm, filling facilities, bulk gas tanks, gas stores, domestic systems, serviceability of cylinders, shops that sell gas cylinders for camping, etc. Checking that all the supervised objects comply with the requirements of the standard.

Supervision and enforcement in the field of fuel

Execution of tests of the quality of the fuels, and bringing charges against filling stations in which non standard fuel was found.

Enforcement of the fuel law that prohibits the sale of fuels to filling stations operating without a license.

Supervision of the prices of fuels in filling stations.

Fines, confiscation, and bringing charges

Imposing administrative fines and bringing charges because of offences against the gas and fuel law. Confiscation of gas tankers, and of LPG equipment.

Investigation of LPG incidents

Investigation of incidents related to LPG and bringing charges against gas companies in cases in which it was found that the events took place because of non observance of laws, orders, or standards.

Complaints by the public, publicity, and information

Treatment of complaints by the public regarding safety defects in gas, providing aid, advice, and training to the gas consumers public who contact the division about LPG subjects, and publication of considerable and essential information for the benefit of the consumers public.

Activities against piratic bodies

Activities against all piratic bodies operating in the gas and fuel industry, and closing down piratic fuel and/or gas filling stations.

Special operations

Execution of enforcement operations regarding LPG and fuel, including operations in cooperation with the police.

Standards committees

Participation by the division in standards committees in the subjects of LPG with representatives of the Israeli Standards Institution, upgrading of existing standards, and formulation of new standards.
