Activities to encourage energy conservation

Are you a consumer about to purchase a new household electrical appliance?  Do you own equipment that uses energy every day?  Does planning for the future energy industry interest you? Do you carry out projects in the field of energy related services?

 

Why waste energy?  Several simple measures to conserve energy will save you money and help all of us to improve the quality of our lives.

 

The Ministry of National Infrastructures is working on several tracks in order to increase energy conservation in Israel:

 

  • Market transformation activities – Creating public awareness of the need to conserve energy when purchasing energy consuming products – residential or industrial.  Inclusion of the energy conservation element as an important consideration when decisions are made regarding the purchase of an energy consuming appliance or energy consuming equipment.  (Click here for additional information)
  • Resource acquisition activities – The Ministry of National Infrastructures accompanies and supports specific energy consumers in order to make energy use more efficient in these consumers’ equipment or buildings. (Click here for additional information) 
  • Data Analysis - The Ministry of National Infrastructures is improving its ability to absorb and process energy usage data in order to make decisions, and for use in future energy conservation projects.(Click here for additional information.)
  • Absorption of the performance contracting method in energy service projects – The Ministry of National Infrastructures is implanting and encouraging various methods for carrying out projects for making energy consumption more efficient.  The level of the Ministry’s support relates to the degree to which the project makes energy usage more efficient.  (Click here for more information.)
